Web Handling and Converting

Web handling is the manufacturing process technology used to transport continuous, thin sheets of materials like films, foils, and fabrics from into finished products. Web Converting uses transformational processes such as coating, lamination, slitting, and die-cutting to convert webs into finished products.

Experience

We have more than 35 years of experience with web handling and converting applications, designing numerous web handling and converting processes and troubleshooting common issues in winding, wrinkling, guiding (steering/tracking), and machine direction registration. Our knowledge of web handling fundamentals and first principles models enable web transport systems to be designed for high reliability and product quality and existing processes to be improved. We have converting experience with tissue paper, plastic and elastic films, nonwovens, and foams.
